Students focus on traditional arts like origami folding, tea ceremony, calligraphy, and noh theater. Though remote from the rest of the world, Sakuradera has turned out some of Honmonia’s most beloved artisans and craftsmen.
Respectful of their elderly senpai, pupils take more one-on-one apprenticeships at Sakuradera than at any other school. Those walking the path of Honmon dueling study under senseis at the Tōrō Dōjō. Those studying theater learn from retired performers at the Nohkami Theater. The daimyo offers classes in chado (tea ceremony), shodo (calligraphy), teaching students to read both air and minds. Rumors even abound that some students have achieved telepathic powers akin to a psychic medium after years of study at Sakuradera.
The Sakuradera Spirits host home games at the Tōrō Dōjō. Sakuradera boasts the longest sellout streak of any battle venue, selling out seat reservations months in advance. Seating capacity is extremely limited; rather than admitting a large crowd, the Spirits invite only VIPs, such as Spirits of the past. Furthermore, they reject all technology, so matches are never broadcast, keeping their battle strategy a secret.
